Three Great US Destinations to Visit in October with British Airways
As the sun starts to set earlier in the evening and we draw closer to the start of Autumn, it is not surprise that many of us are currently experiencing the holidays blues. Myself included, I thought I’d share with you some of the best fares around for travel to a variety of long-haul in October with British Airways.
The UK-carrier is currently running an end-of-summer sale with great fares to a variety of destinations across their global network. Today I thought I’d share some of the best fares I’ve come across to three popular US destinations.
Fares are per person and are correct as of time of publication. British Airways flight sale ends September 26.
Los Angeles from £404 return
Los Angeles is a city which I have grown to love over the past few years. For me, it is all about the relaxed atmosphere of Santa Monica, the beautiful Newport Beach and some-place called Disneyland. I may be a Brit, but the best Fish and Chips I’ve probably ever eaten was actually in Malibu.
Flying with British Airways to La La Land is on either an Airbus A380, Boeing 747-400 or Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Oakland (near San Francisco) from £377 rt
Having launched earlier this year, Oakland is a pretty new route from British Airways. In just under 11-hours you can fly direct from London Gatwick to the airport which isn’t as crazy as flying through SFO. From Oakland International Airport you are just a short ride away from the sights and sounds of San Francisco and Wine Country. I flew with BA to Oakland in May this year and the flight and journey into San Fran itself was ever-so-easy.
BA’s flights to OAK operate 3x a week in the Winter and 4x in the Summer, flying on a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
New York from £377
The Big Apple is something which tends to be on the bucket list of many travellers. I was lucky enough to have some family who lived in Connecticut for a while, so I flew to New York a couple of times a year. It has now been almost 18-years since I last visited NYC, but I still have very fond memories of it. Who remembers FAO Schwarz store? I used to love the Superman “pushing” the elevator. I’m hoping to return to the city that never sleeps over the next year; but you should take advantage of this great deal.
Final Thoughts
Do any of these destinations take your fancy for a short break next month?
