Disney Studios 2014 Bafta Nominations

Earlier today, the British Academy of Film and Television announced the nominations for the BAFTA’s, which are set to take place in London next month. Amongst many of the titles announced, four movies from The Walt Disney Studios are up for awards, which is very exciting.

Saving Mr. Banks has been nominated for five BAFTAs, including:

Outstanding British Film
Leading Actress (Emma Thompson) – for her role as P.L. Travers
Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer (Kelly Marcel)
Original Music (Thomas Newman)
Costume Design (Daniel Orlandi)

Both Frozen and Monsters University have been nominated for Animated Film, whilst Iron Man 3 is a contender in the Special Visual Effects category.

We will find out what films will win during the EE British Academy Film Awards, which are to be held on Sunday, February 10. The awards themselves will be televised on BBC One and BBC One HD between 21:00 and 23:00 GMT.

Good luck to all the nominees!
