Holiday Entertainment at the Airport
Flying over the holidays is always an experience, but come the holidays the words busy, stressful and tiring are usually echoed time and time again. Today I was at London Gatwick Airport and to my surprise I was delighted to see quite a wealth of holiday entertainment on offer.
From larger than life candy-cane stilt walkers to moving Christmas trees, an accordion-player, Rudolph the reindeer character and even a unicorn – it was quite a surreal experience not only at check-in but within the departures area too. It was great to see so many people smiling and getting into the Christmas spirit with a good old sing-song and I am sure enhanced the experience of travelling at one of the busiest times of the year. Well done Gatwick!
I hear that Heathrow Airport have also got some holiday entertainment on offer, including the chance to meet the stars of the airport’s first ever Christmas advert. Did you see it? There is also the opportunity to participate in craft making, meet Father Christmas and enjoy a good old carol or two.
Has your local airport gone to town to celebrate the holidays? I’d love to know!
