Air New Zealand Flight Reviews

Air New Zealand may only be a small kiwi-based airline, but one whom are continuously winning awards right across the board, including Airline of the Year.

I took my very first flight with AirNZ when I was just 17. If flying more than 5,000 miles alone wasn't daunting enough, booking a last-minute flight with an airline that I had very little knowledge of made me feel well.... nervous to say the least. I soon realised there was no need to be at all.

That single flight alone from LA turned out to be one of my best experiences ever. Fast-forward three years and I haven't looked back one bit, you could say I've become a fairly frequent flyer!

Flights from London and Los Angeles

Air New Zealand operates a daily flight to Los Angeles and Auckland from Terminal 2 - The Queen's Terminal at London Heathrow.
Flights from Los Angeles arrive and depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) - known as Terminal "B".

If the long journey to or from NZ is too much, you'll be pleased to know that a number of additional flights operate each day from LAX to Auckland and onwards to destinations within New Zealand, Australia, the Cook Islands, and many more around the Pacific.

Both NZ1 (Westbound) and NZ2 (Eastbound) flights are operated aboard Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts; which to say the least have without a doubt raised the bar in air travel.

Whether you decide to fly in Economy, on a SkyCouch, Premium Economy or in Business Premier; you'll be flying in comfort and style. Just scroll down and take a look at my reviews to see what I'm on about.

What’s On Board

I've been lucky enough to fly with "the airline of Middle-Earth" on a number of occasions, and can honestly say I have never had a below-average experience to date. They are also renowned for their fun in-flight safety videos - but I won't spoil it for you. Picture dwarves, elves and maybe some Hollywood stars too...

On board, you can look forward to endless hours of entertainment, some of the finest meals I've eaten at 30,000ft, and the ability to order drinks and snacks via the in-flight entertainment system in-between meal times.

The products themselves are great, but the crew is what makes Air New Zealand stand out for me. They are an extremely friendly bunch of people, whom love their jobs and nothing is ever too much trouble. They do a stellar job and really look after each and every passenger. If you end up flying, be sure to say hello from me! 🙂
