Air New Zealand are known for their quirky safety videos; and it seems that they have really gone to (tinsel)town with their latest take on the all-important safety briefing – aptly named Safety in Hollywood.

The Auckland-based carrier have teamed up with actress Anna Farris (Scary Movie, Mom) and New Zealand actor/comedian Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords); to create a fun video where Darby tries to convince Anna to play a role in Air New Zealand’s latest safety video. Funny right?

The video was filmed at the world-famous Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California; and travels through many Hollywood film genres. If you look closely, you may recognise some of the filming locations from hit movies such as Casablanca, Jurassic Park and the True Blood TV series.

It’s certainly a fun video which I really like. It does it’s job and get’s the important safety information across, but in a fun and quirky way. Safety in Hollywood replaces the Men in Black Safety Defenders video which was released prior to the 2015 Rugby World Cup. You can enjoy the safety adventure through the movies when flying with Air New Zealand; or right here.

What do you think of Air New Zealand’s safety video? Is it your favourite? Or did you prefer previous versions where themes have included The Hobbit, Surfing Safari, and even a disco-workout in the sky! Let me know in the comments below.
